There barrique it is a small oak barrel from 225–228 liters: its surface/volume ratio favors a micro-oxygen supply and one controlled exchange with wood, elements that — if well managed — accompany the aging of the wine.
In refinement, the barrique can increase structure and complexity, integrate the tannic texture and broaden the aromatic range, enhancing the organoleptic characteristics when the base is solid. Use it for mask defects it's a mistake instead: it leads to wines approved, flattened on sweet notes of vanilla and wood, with a loss of identity.
For this, our Red Infinity mature in selected barriques, with steps and times chosen to integrate the wood into the personality of the wine, not to make it prevail.
